He wandereth abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? He knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand:


Touching the Almighty, we can not find him out; he is excellent in power: And in judgement and plenteous justice he will not afflict.

Thy lovingkindness, O LORD, is in the heavens; Thy faithfulness reacheth unto the skies.


Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness; Thou hast set me at large when I was in distress: Have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.


God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.


O LORD, in the morning shalt thou hear my voice; In the morning will I order my prayer unto thee, and will keep watch.


In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: My hand was stretched out in the night, and slacked not; My soul refused to be comforted.


For great is thy mercy toward me; And thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest pit.


But unto thee, O LORD, have I cried, And in the morning shall my prayer come before thee.


I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: With my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.


Thy right hand, O LORD, is glorious in power, Thy right hand, O LORD, dasheth in pieces the enemy.


Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.
