The proud have digged pits for me, Who are not after thy law.


The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the way side; They have set gins for me. Selah


Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: They shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.


My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing, yea, I will sing praises.


That they may shoot in secret places at the perfect: Suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.


They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: They that would cut me off, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: Then I restored that which I took not away.


The nations are sunk down in the pit that they made: In the net which they hid is their own foot taken.


Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember how I stood before thee to speak good for them, to turn away thy fury from them.


But this cometh to pass, that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
