But this cometh to pass, that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.


The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the way side; They have set gins for me. Selah


The nations are sunk down in the pit that they made: In the net which they hid is their own foot taken.


For he is cast into a net by his own feet, And he walketh upon the toils.


The proud have digged pits for me, Who are not after thy law.


They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: They that would cut me off, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: Then I restored that which I took not away.


That they may shoot in secret places at the perfect: Suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.


Yea, none that wait on thee shall be ashamed: They shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.


My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing, yea, I will sing praises.


Shall evil be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember how I stood before thee to speak good for them, to turn away thy fury from them.
