and Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. And all the people answered, Amen, Amen, with the lifting up of their hands: and they bowed their heads, and worshipped the LORD with their faces to the ground.


Let my prayer be set forth as incense before thee; The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.


I will wash mine hands in innocency; So will I compass thine altar, O LORD:


Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, When I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.


So have I looked upon thee in the sanctuary, To see thy power and thy glory.


So will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.


My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; And my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips;


Arise, cry out in the night, at the beginning of the watches; pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger at the top of every street.


Let us lift up our heart with our hands unto God in the heavens.


I desire therefore that the men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and disputing.
