So they and their children had the oversight of the gates of the house of the LORD, even the house of the tabernacle, by wards.


And they lodged round about the house of God, because the charge thereof was upon them, and to them pertained the opening thereof morning by morning.


And these are the singers, heads of fathers' houses of the Levites, who dwelt in the chambers and were free from other service: for they were employed in their work day and night.


My sons, be not now negligent: for the LORD hath chosen you to stand before him, to minister unto him, and that ye should be his ministers, and burn incense.


And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the fathers' houses of your brethren the children of the people, and let there be for each a portion of a fathers' house of the Levites.


Also Bakbukiah and Unno, their brethren, were over against them in wards.


Bless the LORD, all ye his hosts; Ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.


Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, Praise the name of the LORD.


In my distress I cried unto the LORD, And he answered me.


I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: From whence shall my help come?

When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, We were like unto them that dream.


Except the LORD build the house, They labour in vain that build it: Except the LORD keep the city, The watchman waketh but in vain.


Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD, That walketh in his ways.


Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth up, Let Israel now say;


Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.


My soul looketh for the Lord, More than watchmen look for the morning; Yea, more than watchmen for the morning.


LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; Neither do I exercise myself in great matters, Or in things too wonderful for me.


LORD, remember for David All his affliction;
