Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.


So shall I have an answer for him that reproacheth me; For I trust in thy word.

They that fear thee shall see me and be glad; Because I have hoped in thy word.


My soul fainteth for thy salvation: But I hope in thy word.


Wait on the LORD: Be strong, and let thine heart take courage; Yea, wait thou on the LORD.


Our soul hath waited for the LORD: He is our help and our shield.


I waited patiently for the LORD; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.


My soul waiteth only upon God: From him cometh my salvation.


My soul, wait thou only upon God; For my expectation is from him.


Yea, in the way of thy judgements, O LORD, have we waited for thee; to thy name and to thy memorial is the desire of our soul.


And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgement; blessed are all they that wait for him.


And I will wait for the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.


And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
