In my distress I cried unto the LORD, And he answered me.


I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: From whence shall my help come?


I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go unto the house of the LORD.


Unto thee do I lift up mine eyes, O thou that sittest in the heavens.


If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, Let Israel now say;


They that trust in the LORD Are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever.


When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, We were like unto them that dream.


Except the LORD build the house, They labour in vain that build it: Except the LORD keep the city, The watchman waketh but in vain.


Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD, That walketh in his ways.


I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: While I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.


Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh store cities, Pithom and Raamses.


And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.
