But my horn hast thou exalted like the horn of the wild-ox: I am anointed with fresh oil.


Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, And wine unto the bitter in soul:


Let him drink, and forget his poverty, And remember his misery no more.


A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh glad the life: and money answereth all things.


Who is as the wise man? and who knoweth the interpretation of a thing? A man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the hardness of his face is changed.


Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God hath already accepted thy works.


For, behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water;

Son of man, when a land sinneth against me by committing a trespass, and I stretch out mine hand upon it, and break the staff of the bread thereof, and send famine upon it, and cut off from it man and beast;


Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with carefulness; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:


when I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, that are for destruction, which I will send to destroy you; and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread;


When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.


And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and rejoice; their heart shall be glad in the LORD.


And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave to them: and they all drank of it.


My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but she hath anointed my feet with ointment.


And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;


Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy borders, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil: for thine olive shall cast its fruit.


And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every thing that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.


Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.


And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and ye know all things.


And it came to pass on the fourth day, that they arose early in the morning, and he rose up to depart: and the damsel's father said unto his son in law, Comfort thine heart with a morsel of bread, and afterward ye shall go your way.


And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?


But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to wave to and fro over the trees?
