because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and hast humbled thyself before me, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.


The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, And his ears are open unto their cry.

Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to serve one another: for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.


Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall exalt you.


The preparations of the heart belong to man: But the answer of the tongue is from the LORD.


He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute, And hath not despised their prayer.


Also in Judah was the hand of God to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the princes by the word of the LORD.


But he giveth more grace. Wherefore the scripture saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.


in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.


for through him we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father.


And in like manner the Spirit also helpeth our infirmity: for we know not how to pray as we ought; but the Spirit himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered;


Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.


The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: But the prayer of the upright is his delight.


The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: And the desire of the righteous shall be granted.


For the needy shall not alway be forgotten, Nor the expectation of the poor perish for ever.


And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, because of that which God had prepared for the people: for the thing was done suddenly.
