And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.


And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the he-goats which leap upon the flock are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.


It may be that the LORD will look on the wrong done unto me, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing of me this day.


Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.


Thus Joash the king remembered not the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but slew his son. And when he died, he said, The LORD look upon it, and require it.


then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, requiting the wicked, to bring his way upon his own head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.


The LORD preserveth the strangers; He upholdeth the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.


Be not far from me; for trouble is near; For there is none to help.


And thou hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; Thou hast set my feet in a large place.


Thou hast seen it, O LORD; keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me.


Cast thy burden upon the LORD, And he shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.


A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, Is God in his holy habitation.


God setteth the solitary in families: He bringeth out the prisoners into prosperity: But the rebellious dwell in a parched land.


And God saw the children of Israel, and God took knowledge of them.


Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child.


If thou at all take thy neighbour's garment to pledge, thou shalt restore it unto him by that the sun goeth down:


The LORD will root up the house of the proud: But he will establish the border of the widow.


The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Keeping watch upon the evil and the good.


And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?


For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity concealed from mine eyes.


Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.


Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.


for the spoiler is come upon her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, their bows are broken in pieces: for the LORD is a God of recompences, he shall surely requite.


O LORD, thou hast seen my wrong; judge thou my cause.


Thou hast seen all their vengeance and all their devices against me.


Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy.


I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him..


Yea, and what are ye to me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the regions of Philistia? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head.


Thou that art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and that canst not look on perverseness, wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy peace when the wicked swalloweth up the man that is more righteous than he;


He doth execute the judgement of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.


For the which cause I suffer also these things: yet I am not ashamed; for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed unto him against that day.


And there is no creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.


Wherefore let them also that suffer according to the will of God commit their souls in well-doing unto a faithful Creator.


casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you.


And Adoni-bezek said, Threescore and ten kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered their meat under my table: as I have done, so God hath requited me. And they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.
