The words of the LORD are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, Purified seven times.


A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: But knowledge is easy unto him that hath understanding.


Who are crooked in their ways, And perverse in their paths:


For I give you good doctrine; Forsake ye not my law.


The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: Pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, And the froward mouth, do I hate.


By myself have I sworn, the word is gone forth from my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.


Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.


The officers answered, Never man so spake.


They have dealt corruptly with him, they are not his children, it is their blemish; They are a perverse and crooked generation.


that ye may be blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom ye are seen as lights in the world,
