But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master knoweth not what is with me in the house, and he hath put all that he hath into my hand;


Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path.


The opening of thy words giveth light; It giveth understanding unto the simple.


Let the righteous smite me, it shall be a kindness; And let him reprove me, it shall be as oil upon the head; Let not my head refuse it: For even in their wickedness shall my prayer continue.


The precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.


He is in the way of life that heedeth correction: But he that forsaketh reproof erreth.


To the wise the way of life goeth upward, That he may depart from Sheol beneath.


The ear that hearkeneth to the reproof of life Shall abide among the wise.


The rod and reproof give wisdom: But a child left to himself causeth shame to his mother.


She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: And happy is every one that retaineth her.


Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: Keep her; for she is thy life.


And he taught me, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words; Keep my commandments, and live:


And say, How have I hated instruction, And my heart despised reproof;


And I find a thing more bitter than death, even the woman whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands: whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.


It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise, than for a man to hear the song of fools.


To the law and to the testimony! if they speak not according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.


And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD: Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death.


And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgements, which if a man do, he shall live in them.


Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt surely rebuke thy neighbour, and not bear sin because of him.


And we have the word of prophecy made more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:


Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I come to thee, and will move thy candlestick out of its place, except thou repent.
