Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, till he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; beside his sin wherewith he made Judah to sin, in doing that which was evil in the sight of the LORD,


and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood: and the LORD would not pardon.


The wicked, in the pride of his countenance, saith, He will not require it. All his thoughts are, There is no God.


Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I destroy: Him that hath an high look and a proud heart will I not suffer.


LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; Neither do I exercise myself in great matters, Or in things too wonderful for me.


For thou wilt save the afflicted people; But the haughty eyes thou wilt bring down.

But as for me, in the multitude of thy lovingkindness will I come into thy house: In thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.


If they say, Come with us, Let us lay wait for blood, Let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause;


For their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed blood.


Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD: But they that deal truly are his delight.


A faithful witness will not lie: But a false witness uttereth lies.


Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: Though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.


Excellent speech becometh not a fool: Much less do lying lips a prince.


An high look, and a proud heart, Even the lamp of the wicked, is sin.


A lying tongue hateth those whom it hath wounded; And a flattering mouth worketh ruin.


A man that is laden with the blood of any person Shall flee unto the pit; let no man stay him.


There is a generation, Oh how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up.


There be six things which the LORD hateth; Yea, seven which are an abomination unto him:


And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.


The lofty looks of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.


Moreover the LORD said, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:


The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.


Only know ye for certain that, if ye put me to death, ye shall bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.


Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and stood not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof.


that innocent blood be not shed in the midst of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.


Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.


Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to serve one another: for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.


Without are the dogs, and the sorcerers, and the fornicators, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and every one that loveth and maketh a lie.
