And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord.


And ye shall teach them your children, talking of them, when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

And Manoah said, Now let thy words come to pass: what shall be the manner of the child, and what shall be his work?


wherefore I also have granted him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he is granted to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.


And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.
