Yea, he loved cursing, and it came unto him; And he delighted not in blessing, and it was far from him.


A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: And the doings of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.


There shall no mischief happen to the righteous: But the wicked shall be filled with evil.


The heart knoweth its own bitterness; And a stranger doth not intermeddle with its joy.


The simple believeth every word: But the prudent man looketh well to his going.


A man's belly shall be filled with the fruit of his mouth; With the increase of his lips shall he be satisfied.


If thou art wise, thou art wise for thyself: And if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.


Thus saith the LORD: Cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.


Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and a bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.


Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.


Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I brought upon their heads, saith the Lord GOD.


For Israel hath behaved himself stubbornly, like a stubborn heifer: now will the LORD feed them as a lamb in a large place.


and them that are turned back from following the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor inquired after him.


but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up unto eternal life.


For our glorying is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.


But let each man prove his own work, and then shall he have his glorying in regard of himself alone, and not of his neighbour.


For he that soweth unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life.


Take heed, brethren, lest haply there shall be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God:
