But the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.


For if ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that led them captive, and shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.


and refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that thou didst among them; but hardened their neck, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but thou art a God ready to pardon, gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy, and forsookest them not.


yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of cloud departed not from over them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to shew them light, and the way wherein they should go.


For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.


For thus saith the LORD, The whole land shall be a desolation; yet will I not make a full end.


Go ye up upon her walls, and destroy; but make not a full end: take away her branches: for they are not the LORD'S.


But even in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you.


It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.


To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses; for we have rebelled against him;


for the LORD thy God is a merciful God; he will not fail thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
