But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD, the God of Israel, with all his heart: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, wherewith he made Israel to sin.


And the king stood by the pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and all his soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book: and all the people stood to the covenant.

And he read therein before the broad place that was before the water gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women, and of those that could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive unto the book of the law.


And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.


And yet for all this we make a sure covenant, and write it; and our princes, our Levites, and our priests, seal unto it.


That they might keep his statutes, And observe his laws. Praise ye the LORD.


I have sworn, and have confirmed it, That I will observe thy righteous judgements.


O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy glory upon the heavens.

For the LORD will have compassion on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the stranger shall join himself with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.


And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD: If ye will not hearken to me, to walk in my law, which I have set before you,


And ye were now turned, and had done that which is right in mine eyes, in proclaiming liberty every man to his neighbour; and ye had made a covenant before me in the house which is called by my name:


And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgements, and do them.


And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that ye should be mine.

then the priest shall cause the woman to swear with the oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to fall away, and thy belly to swell;


For the law was given by Moses; grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.


Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you.


Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you doeth the law? Why seek ye to kill me?


who, when he was come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad; and he exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord:

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.


Moses commanded us a law, An inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.


And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the judgements which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and observe to do them.


Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
