And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Entreat now the favour of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God entreated the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.


Thus saith the Lord GOD Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with despite of soul to destroy it with perpetual enmity;


therefore thus saith the Lord GOD Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the nations, and against all Edom, which have appointed my land unto themselves for a possession with the joy of all their heart, with despite of soul, to cast it out for a prey:


but I say unto you, Love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you;


And Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And parting his garments among them, they cast lots.


But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you,


But love your enemies, and do them good, and lend, never despairing; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.


And when there was made an onset both of the Gentiles and of the Jews with their rulers, to entreat them shamefully, and to stone them,


And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.


Bless them that persecute you; bless, and curse not.


and we toil, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;


out of the same mouth cometh forth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.


not rendering evil for evil, or reviling for reviling; but contrariwise blessing; for hereunto were ye called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
