I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.


Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.


And I will wait for the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.


But there shall be no gloom to her that was in anguish. In the former time he brought into contempt the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the latter time hath he made it glorious, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the nations.


And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.


And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children's children, for ever: and David my servant shall be their prince for ever.


I saw in the night visions, and, behold, there came with the clouds of heaven one like unto a son of man, and he came even to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.


And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our border.


Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.


Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered; and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.


Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.


But unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and gambol as calves of the stall.


Wherefore it is said in the book of the Wars of the LORD, Vaheb in Suphah, And the valleys of Arnon,


and without a parable spake he not unto them: but privately to his own disciples he expounded all things.


And he said unto them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!


And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, how that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.


Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.


These things said Isaiah, because he saw his glory; and he spake of him.


And the Father which sent me, he hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his form.


Ye search the scriptures, because ye think that in them ye have eternal life; and these are they which bear witness of me;


To him bear all the prophets witness, that through his name every one that believeth on him shall receive remission of sins.


But the things which God foreshewed by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.


Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me; to him shall ye hearken in all things whatsoever he shall speak unto you.


Yea and all the prophets from Samuel and them that followed after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days.


This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me.


And Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this scripture, preached unto him Jesus.


And ye returned and wept before the LORD; but the LORD hearkened not to your voice, nor gave ear unto you.


The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;


And I fell down before his feet to worship him. And he saith unto me, See thou do it not: I am a fellow-servant with thee and with thy brethren that hold the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
