As the LORD thy God liveth, there is no nation or kingdom, whither my lord hath not sent to seek thee: and when they said, He is not here, he took an oath of the kingdom and nation, that they found thee not.


And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being such as I, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.


Though an host should encamp against me, My heart shall not fear: Though war should rise against me, Even then will I be confident.


I will not be afraid of ten thousands of the people, That have set themselves against me round about.


The wicked flee when no man pursueth: But the righteous are bold as a lion.


From that time began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.


Ye know that after two days the passover cometh, and the Son of man is delivered up to be crucified.


and as they were eating, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.


Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended in me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.


And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, how that all things must needs be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me.


Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus knowing that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.


For he knew him that should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.


They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, was standing with them.


Again therefore he asked them, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.


After this Jesus, knowing that all things are now finished, that the scripture might be accomplished, saith, I thirst.


But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who it was that should betray him.


Thou madest known unto me the ways of life; Thou shalt make me full of gladness with thy countenance.


Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
