And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? Because he curseth, and because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David; who then shall say, Wherefore hast thou done so?


For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine foameth; It is full of mixture, and he poureth out of the same: Surely the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.


Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore will I give her cup into thine hand.


But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink the cup that I am about to drink? They say unto him, We are able.


And he went forward a little, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass away from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.


Again a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cannot pass away, except I drink it, thy will be done.


For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: but your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.


saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.


If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.


Father, that which thou hast given me, I will that, where I am, they also may be with me; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.


Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.


Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.


(for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the casting down of strong holds);


in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,


looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
