In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.


For then shalt thou delight thyself in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.


I have not gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have treasured up the words of his mouth more than my necessary food


Thy word have I laid up in mine heart, That I might not sin against thee.


Delight thyself also in the LORD; And he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.


The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: And the desire of the righteous shall be granted.


And he taught me, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words; Keep my commandments, and live:


Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thy healing shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rearward.


Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy words were unto me a joy and the rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.


Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:


And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.


Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should abide: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.


And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, If ye shall ask anything of the Father, he will give it you in my name.


Jesus therefore said to those Jews which had believed him, If ye abide in my word, then are ye truly my disciples;


I know that ye are Abraham's seed; yet ye seek to kill me, because my word hath not free course in you.


but is under guardians and stewards until the term appointed of the father.


But I say, Walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.


And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thine heart:


Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts unto God.


I have written unto you, fathers, because ye know him which is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the evil one.


And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, ye abide in him.


and whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things that are pleasing in his sight.


And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us:
