Oh that thou wouldest hide me in Sheol, That thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, That thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!


It shall go down to the bars of Sheol, When once there is rest in the dust.


Or as an hidden untimely birth I had not been; As infants which never saw light


There the prisoners are at ease together; They hear not the voice of the taskmaster


Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive;


As well their love, as their hatred and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.


And be not afraid of them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.


And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them which kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.


Let us therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, that no man fall after the same example of disobedience.


There remaineth therefore a sabbath rest for the people of God.


(for that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their lawless deeds):


And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; for their works follow with them.


Moreover the LORD will deliver Israel also with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and tomorrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD shall deliver the host of Israel also into the hand of the Philistines.
