If my step hath turned out of the way, And mine heart walked after mine eyes, And if any spot hath cleaved to mine hands:


Then should I yet have comfort; Yea, I would exult in pain that spareth not: For I have not denied the words of the Holy One.


The proud have had me greatly in derision: Yet have I not swerved from thy law.

My steps have held fast to thy paths, My feet have not slipped.

That thou hast sore broken us in the place of jackals, And covered us with the shadow of death.


Get wisdom, get understanding; Forget it not, neither decline from the words of my mouth:


and them that are turned back from following the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor inquired after him.


to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honour and incorruption, eternal life:


For our glorying is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.


Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and righteously and unblameably we behaved ourselves toward you that believe:
