And lay thou thy treasure in the dust, And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks;


For then shalt thou delight thyself in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.


Or with princes that had gold, Who filled their houses with silver:


The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my strong rock, in him will I trust; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.


For the LORD God is a sun and a shield: The LORD will give grace and glory: No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.


And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom and knowledge: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.


Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.


The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.


What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?


as sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.


Hearken, my beloved brethren; did not God choose them that are poor as to the world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he promised to them that love him?
