Wilt thou harass a driven leaf? And wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?


God delivereth me to the ungodly, And casteth me into the hands of the wicked.


If ye say, How we will persecute him! Seeing that the root of the matter is found in me;


Know now that God hath subverted me in my cause, And hath compassed me with his net.


But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will renounce thee to thy face.


Thou art turned to be cruel to me: With the might of thy hand thou persecutest me.


If the men of my tent said not, Who can find one that hath not been satisfied with his flesh?

and I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy back as the ground, and as the street, to them that go over.


who also eat the flesh of my people; and they flay their skin from off them, and break their bones: yea, they chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
