If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my warfare would I wait, Till my release should come.


For when a few years are come, I shall go the way whence I shall not return.


For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, When the number of his months is cut off in the midst?


Is there not a warfare to man upon earth? And are not his days like the days of an hireling?


Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled; Thou takest away their breath they die, And return to their dust.


Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; That they turn not again to cover the earth.


Thine eyes did see mine unperfect substance, And in thy book were all my members written, Which day by day were fashioned, When as yet there was none of them.


My times are in thy hand: Deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.


LORD, make me to know mine end, And the measure of my days, what it is; Let me know how frail I am.


a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;


There is no man that hath power over the spirit to retain the spirit; neither hath he power over the day of death; and there is no discharge in that war: neither shall wickedness deliver him that is given to it.


And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods: and he shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished; for that which is determined shall be done.


And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?


This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and brought it to an end.


In that night Belshazzar the Chaldean king was slain.


Seventy weeks are decreed upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy.


But God said unto him, Thou foolish one, this night is thy soul required of thee; and the things which thou hast prepared, whose shall they be?


and he made of one every nation of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation;


And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this cometh judgement;


and the Living one; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.


And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and none shall shut, and that shutteth, and none openeth:


And David said, As the LORD liveth, the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall go down into battle, and perish.
