I say this to move you to shame. Is it so, that there cannot be found among you one wise man, who shall be able to decide between his brethren,


We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye have glory, but we have dishonour.


Woe unto them that are wise their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!


The rich man is wise in his own conceit; But the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.


I have heard the reproof which putteth me to shame, And the spirit of my understanding answereth me.


But return ye, all of you, and come now: And I shall not find a wise man among you.


For thou hast hid their heart from understanding: Therefore shalt thou not exalt them.


Should a wise man make answer with vain knowledge, And fill his belly with the east wind?


But vain man is void of understanding, Yea, man is born as a wild ass's colt


And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, That it is manifold in effectual working! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth


Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be justified?


Then Job answered and said,


How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom, And plentifully declared sound knowledge!
