Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, Who dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.


By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat down, yea, we wept, When we remembered Zion.


The LORD shall reign for ever, Thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.


Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.


I hate them that regard lying vanities: But I trust in the LORD.


Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evil-doers, children that deal corruptly: they have forsaken the LORD, they have despised the Holy One of Israel, they are estranged and gone backward.


Cry aloud and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.


They come from a far country, from the uttermost part of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.


For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.


Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.


Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.


They are vanity, a work of delusion: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.


Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul loathed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of healing, and behold dismay!


Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.


thus saith the LORD, What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?


for they prophesy a lie unto you, to remove you far from your land; and that I should drive you out and ye should perish.


For there shall be a day, that the watchmen upon the hills of Ephraim shall cry, Arise ye, and let us go up to Zion unto the LORD our God.


For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done that which was evil in my sight from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the LORD.


Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD; do they not provoke themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?


The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.


I will scatter them also among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them.


It shall be eighteen thousand reeds round about: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The LORD is there.


And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those that escape, as the LORD hath said, and among the remnant those whom the LORD doth call.


And I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.


But in mount Zion there shall be those that escape, and it shall be holy; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.


Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king in thee, is thy counsellor perished, that pangs have taken hold of thee as of a woman in travail?


The LORD hath taken away thy judgements, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not fear evil any more.


For, behold, I will shake mine hand over them, and they shall be a spoil to those that served them: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.


and saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and bring you good tidings, that ye should turn from these vain things unto the living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that in them is:


Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come upon them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?
