For the LORD hath indignation against all the nations, and fury against all their host: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.


For it is the day of the LORD'S vengeance, the year of recompence in the controversy of Zion.


For by fire will the LORD plead, and by his sword, with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a day of clouds; it shall be the time of the heathen.


And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood: and I will rain upon him, and upon his hordes, and upon the many peoples that are with him, an overflowing shower, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.


The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.


Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.


I will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land,
