The soul of the wicked desireth evil: His neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes.


Then I saw all labour and every skilful work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.


The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and they that vex Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.


And Moses said unto him, Art thou jealous for my sake? would God that all the LORD'S people were prophets, that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!


God is not a man, that he should lie; Neither the son of man, that he should repent: Hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?


If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken),


And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.


Hath not the scripture said that the Christ cometh of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?


And the patriarchs, moved with jealousy against Joseph, sold him into Egypt: and God was with him,


being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,


For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, For this very purpose did I raise thee up, that I might shew in thee my power, and that my name might be published abroad in all the earth.


Or know ye not that your body is a temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have from God? and ye are not your own;


And what agreement hath a temple of God with idols? for we are a temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.


And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all the nations be blessed.


For we also were aforetime foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.
