Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil:


but if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.


They shall only bow down under the prisoners, and shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.


In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the swift serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Yea, truth is lacking; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgement.


And I trod down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my fury, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.


a people that provoketh me to my face continually, sacrificing in gardens, and burning incense upon bricks;


For by fire will the LORD plead, and by his sword, with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.


For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity concealed from mine eyes.


Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and give them over to the power of the sword; and let their wives become childless, and widows; and let their men be slain of death, and their young men smitten of the sword in battle.


Therefore thus saith the LORD: Ye have not hearkened unto me, to proclaim liberty, every man to his brother, and every man to his neighbour: behold, I proclaim unto you a liberty, saith the LORD, to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you to be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth.

And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not:


And thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.


And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall execute the vengeance of the covenant; and ye shall be gathered together within your cities: and I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.


And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the nations which hearkened not.


Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited?


and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the marriage feast: and they would not come.


But the king was wroth; and he sent his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.


He came unto his own, and they that were his own received him not.


Without shall the sword bereave, And in the chambers terror; It shall destroy both young man and virgin, The suckling with the man of gray hairs.
