And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.


The LORD will enter into judgement with the elders of his people, and the princes thereof: It is ye that have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses:


what mean ye that ye crush my people, and grind the face of the poor? saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.


but your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

which devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater condemnation.


They lead Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the palace: and it was early; and they themselves entered not into the palace, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the passover.
