The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all they that do thereafter: His praise endureth for ever.


Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD, That walketh in his ways.


My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD; And let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.


Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me: Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

This is the end of the matter; all hath been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.


And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and they that are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.


Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation.


With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgements are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.


Behold my servant, whom I uphold; my chosen, in whom my soul delighteth: I have put my spirit upon him; he shall bring forth judgement to the Gentiles.


The Lord GODhath given me the tongue of them that are taught, that I should know how to sustain with words him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as they that are taught.


He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many: and he shall bear their iniquities.


Therefore is judgement far from us, neither doth righteousness overtake us: we look for light, but behold darkness; for brightness, but we walk in obscurity.


And I will wait for the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.


The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.


He hath led me and caused me to walk in darkness and not in light.


Nebuchadnezzar spake and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.


The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that put their trust in him.


But I will leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.


Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him; and the people did fear before the LORD.


Then they that feared the LORD spake one with another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard, and a book of remembrance was written before him, for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.


I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me may not abide in the darkness.


Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.


For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light


and having been made perfect, he became unto all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation;


casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you.


And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.
