Of these were the isles of the nations divided in their lands, every one after his tongue; after their families, in their nations.


They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: Thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.


Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it, Thou greatly enrichest it; The river of God is full of water: Thou providest them corn, when thou hast so prepared the earth.


Say unto God, How terrible are thy works! Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.


God shall bless us; And all the ends of the earth shall fear him.


The peoples have heard, they tremble: Pangs have taken hold on the inhabitants of Philistia.


Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the peoples renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgement.


They helped every one his neighbour; and every one said to his brother, Be of good courage.


Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be dismayed at thy departure.


For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, unto Sihon and to Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.


And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were beyond Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard how that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel.
