Nevertheless for David's sake did the LORD his God give him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:


Now therefore, O LORD, the God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; if only thy children take heed to their way to walk before me as thou hast walked before me.


Now in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah did Sennacherib king of Assyria come up against all the fenced cities of Judah, and took them.


Twenty and five years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Abi the daughter of Zechariah.


Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard thee.


For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the Asherim, and the graven images, and the molten images.


Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months is with thee, And thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;


Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of his saints.


He healeth the broken in heart, And bindeth up their wounds.


Hear my prayer, O LORD, And give ear unto my cry; Hold not thy peace at my tears: For I am a stranger with thee, A sojourner, as all my fathers were.


Thou tellest my wanderings: Put thou my tears into thy bottle; Are they not in thy book?


The LORD hath heard my supplication; The LORD will receive my prayer.


a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;


Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Whereas thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria,


Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,


Thou heardest my voice; hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry.


I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.


But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: because thy supplication is heard, and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.


saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must stand before Caesar: and lo, God hath granted thee all them that sail with thee.


Nevertheless he that comforteth the lowly, even God, comforted us by the coming of Titus;


for the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them unto fountains of waters of life: and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.
