And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.


For I will defend this city to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.


Thus the LORD saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all other, and guided them on every side.


And the LORD helpeth them, and rescueth them: He rescueth them from the wicked, and saveth them, Because they have taken refuge in him.


God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.


The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered his voice, the earth melted.


He shall cover thee with his pinions, And under his wings shalt thou take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler.


that ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.


Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.


and my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the peoples; and as one gathereth eggs that are forsaken, have I gathered all the earth: and there was none that moved the wing, or that opened the mouth, or chirped.


In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation will he appoint for walls and bulwarks.


I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.


Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompence of God; he will come and save you.


For I will defend this city to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.


And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.


And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GODshall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.


And I will encamp about mine house against the army, that none pass through or return: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.


As an eagle that stirreth up her nest, That fluttereth over her young, He spread abroad his wings, he took them, He bare them on his pinions:
