That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked, that so the righteous should be as the wicked; that be far from thee: shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?


And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD reward the wicked doer according to his wickedness.


Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will utterly sweep thee away, and will cut off from Ahab every man child, and him that is shut up and him that is left at large in Israel:


then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, requiting the wicked, to bring his way upon his own head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.


If I be wicked, woe unto me; And if I be righteous, yet shall I not lift up my head; Being filled with ignominy And looking upon mine affliction.


Give them according to their work, and according to the wickedness of their doings: Give them after the operation of their hands; Render to them their desert.


Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: For thou renderest to every man according to his work.


Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own devices.


Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: How much more the wicked and the sinner!


A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: And the doings of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.


Whoso diggeth a pit shall fall therein: And he that rolleth a stone, it shall return upon him.


but it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.


And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.


There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.


There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old, and the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.


Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, yea, I will recompense into their bosom,


your own iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I first measure their work into their bosom.


And I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in her forest, and it shall devour all that is round about her.


But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.


For thus saith the Lord GOD I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant.


The soul that sinneth, it shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.


And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.


I the LORD have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord GOD


When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die, and thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at thine hand.


Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not answer them: yea, he will hide his face from them at that time, according as they have wrought evil in their doings.


Yet shall the land be desolate because of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.


But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out.


For we must all be made manifest before the judgement-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad.


For judgement is without mercy to him that hath shewed no mercy: mercy glorieth against judgement.


and all the wickedness of the men of Shechem did God requite upon their heads: and upon them came the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal.
