He poureth contempt upon princes, And looseth the belt of the strong.


The God that girdeth me with strength, And maketh my way perfect.


The meadows by the Nile, by the brink of the Nile, and all that is sown by the Nile, shall become dry, be driven away, and be no more.


He hath stretched out his hand over the sea, he hath shaken the kingdoms: the LORD hath given commandment concerning Canaan, to destroy the strong holds thereof.


Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strong hold is laid waste.


The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.


And from the daughter of Zion all her majesty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer.


Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be dismayed at thy departure.


and I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.


For while we were yet weak, in due season Christ died for the ungodly.


Then Saul fell straightway his full length upon the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.
