I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before thee life and death, the blessing and the curse: therefore choose life, that thou mayest live, thou and thy seed:


Hear, ye peoples, all of you; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GODbe witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.


I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.


He shall call to the heavens above, And to the earth, that he may judge his people:


A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?


But I truly am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgement, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.


Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying,


therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD Thus saith the Lord GODto the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes and to the cities that are forsaken, which are become a prey and derision to the residue of the nations that are round about:


O earth, earth, earth, hear the word of the LORD.


Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it.


I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts;


For it is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:


Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:


They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.


Hear ye, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD hath spoken.


and in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came unto this place.


for we cannot but speak the things which we saw and heard.


Hear this, all ye peoples; Give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:


Turn ye unto him from whom ye have deeply revolted, O children of Israel.


Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye peoples: let the earth hear, and the fulness thereof; the world, and all things that come forth of it


For thou art our father, though Abraham knoweth us not, and Israel doth not acknowledge us: thou, O LORD, art our father; our redeemer from everlasting is thy name.


Return, ye backsliding children, I will heal your backslidings, Behold, we are come unto thee; for thou art the LORD our God.


And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD Set on the caldron, set it on, and also pour water into it:


and he forsook the LORD, the God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the LORD.


The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morashtite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
