And it came to pass after these things, that one said to Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.


And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine; they shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.

And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in the day that I do make, even a peculiar treasure; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.


Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.


And will be to you a Father, And ye shall be to me sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.


having foreordained us unto adoption as sons through Jesus Christ unto himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,


By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.


Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance unto the nine tribes, and the half tribe of Manasseh.


For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: and they gave no portion unto the Levites in the land, save cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for their cattle and for their substance.
