And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath made me fruitful in the land of my affliction.


And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Poti-phera priest of On bare unto him.


And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him.


And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head.


And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.


The LORD saith unto my lord, Sit thou at my right hand, Until I make thine enemies thy footstool.


The right hand of the LORD is exalted: The right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.


Thy right hand, O LORD, is glorious in power, Thy right hand, O LORD, dasheth in pieces the enemy.


On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their hosts: and the prince of the children of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.


and thou shalt present the Levites before the LORD: and the children of Israel shall lay their hands upon the Levites:
