There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.


And they sware unto the LORD with a loud voice; and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.


Gather my saints together unto me; Those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.


But they flattered him with their mouth, And lied unto him with their tongue.


And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses reported the words of the people unto the LORD.


Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel: I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, saying,


Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.


Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD and thou becamest mine.


Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, profaning the covenant of our fathers?


And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.


And when this epistle hath been read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye also read the epistle from Laodicea.


I adjure you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the brethren.


And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and unto his voice will we hearken.
