But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.


for when Gentiles which have no law do by nature the things of the law, these, having no law, are a law unto themselves;


For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, shall we be saved by his life;


Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from the wrath of God through him.


Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof:


For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me, but to do that which is good is not.


What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering vessels of wrath fitted unto destruction:


For who maketh thee to differ? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? but if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?


Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.


Howbeit the scripture hath shut up all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.


wherein aforetime ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience;


that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, which waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit;


And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works, yet now hath he reconciled


But we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them that fall asleep; that ye sorrow not, even as the rest, which have no hope.


so then let us not sleep, as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober.


But they that desire to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and hurtful lusts, such as drown men in destruction and perdition.


For we also were aforetime foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.


as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in the time of your ignorance:


having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; enticing unstedfast souls; having a heart exercised in covetousness; children of cursing;


For, uttering great swelling words of vanity, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by lasciviousness, those who are just escaping from them that live in error;


For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the vainglory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.


Again, a new commandment write I unto you, which thing is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shineth.
