And Joab sent to Tekoa, and fetched thence a wise woman, and said unto her, I pray thee, feign thyself to be a mourner, and put on mourning apparel, I pray thee, and anoint not thyself with oil, but be as a woman that had a long time mourned for the dead:


And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king; and he had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came home in peace.


And Mordecai went forth front the presence of the king in royal apparel of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a robe of fine linen and purple: and the city of Shushan shouted and was glad.


Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over.


I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.


that drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments; but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.


But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thy head, and wash thy face;


My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but she hath anointed my feet with ointment.


(Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.)


And the armies which are in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and pure.


And it was given unto her that she should array herself in fine linen, bright and pure: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.


After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands;


Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put on thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the threshing-floor: but make not thyself known to the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.
