This is the end of the matter; all hath been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.


I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God hath done it, that men should fear before him.


And moreover I saw under the sun, in the place of judgement, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there.


For a dream cometh with a multitude of business; and a fool's voice with a multitude of words.


It is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from that withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all.


Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and prolong his days, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him:


but it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.


All this have I seen, and applied my heart unto every work that is done under the sun: there is a time wherein one man hath power over another to his hurt.


And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement.
