But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.


Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD I do not this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name, which ye have profaned among the nations, whither ye went.


Not for your sake do I this, saith the Lord GOD be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your ways, O house of Israel.


Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out from before you:


And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land vomiteth out her inhabitants.


Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.


Ye are the sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with your fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.


As touching the gospel, they are enemies for your sake: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sake.


For I say that Christ hath been made a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given unto the fathers,


Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.


Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods.


For whosoever doeth these things is an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.


When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.


that they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your God.


not by works done in righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost,
