I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil; I am the LORD, that doeth all these things.


Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.


Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and will shew thee great things, and difficult, which thou knowest not.


And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.


Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a vision of the night. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.


The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth your God is the God of gods, and the Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, sing thou hast been able to reveal this secret.


There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him: and the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made him master of the magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;


I have heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.


Therefore speak I to them in parables; because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.


There was the true light, even the light which lighteth every man, coming into the world.


He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.


Again therefore Jesus spake unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the light of life.


Wherefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall each man have his praise from God.


which in other generations was not made known unto the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;


and the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as at this day.


who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power eternal. Amen.


And there is no creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do.


Every good gift and every perfect boon is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, neither shadow that is cast by turning.


And this is the message which we have heard from him, and announce unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
