They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: With flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.


Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the mercy of God endureth continually.


Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; Ye weigh out the violence of your hands in the earth.


Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: In the balances they will go up; They are together lighter than vanity.


They search out iniquities; We have accomplished, say they, a diligent search: And the inward thought of every one, and the heart, is deep.


Deceit is in the heart of them that devise evil: But to the counsellors of peace is joy.


There are many devices in a man's heart; But the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

Say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD Shall it prosper? shall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it may wither; that all its fresh springing leaves may wither; even without great power or much people to pluck it up by the roots thereof?


In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, even a great warfare: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.


Then shall he return into his land with great substance; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do his pleasure, and return to his own land.


At the time appointed he shall return, and come into the south; but it shall not be in the latter time as it was in the former.


And some of them that be wise shall fall, to refine them, and to purify, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for the time appointed.


And at the time of the end shall the king of the south contend with him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass through.


So he came near where I stood; and when he came, I was affrighted, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man; for the vision belongeth to the time of the end.


And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the latter time of the indignation: for it belongeth to the appointed time of the end.


For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hasteth toward the end, and shall not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.


And he said unto them, It is not for you to know times or seasons, which the Father hath set within his own authority.


inasmuch as he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.


But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that aught be written unto you.
