And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.


And the children of Israel did eat the manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat the manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.


And I will put forth my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.


And the LORD spake unto Moses, Depart, go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land of which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:


Jesus therefore said unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will in no wise believe.


And for about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness.


But God turned, and gave them up to serve the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, Did ye offer unto me slain beasts and sacrifices Forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?


Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.


Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, Like as in the day of the temptation in the wilderness,


Wherewith your fathers tempted me by proving me, And saw my works forty years.


Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers In the day that I took them by the hand to lead them forth out of the land of Egypt; For they continued not in my covenant, And I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
