So Joab and Abishai his brother slew Abner, because he had killed their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.


Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head that belongeth to Judah? Thou shalt not revile God, nor curse a ruler of thy people.

And Paul said, I wist not, brethren, that he was high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of a ruler of thy people.


Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.


After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea.
